In very cool news that I kind of forgot about until I got the package in the mail, a fun new book called Twentysomething Girl: 1001 Quick Tips and Tricks to Make Your Life Easier, by Melissa Fiorenza and Laura Serino, went on sale yesterday — and I’m a contributor!

Turn to page 176, and you’ll see my advice for knocking your ex off that tall pedestal you put him (or her) on when you were together. I like to think that I’m not mean. I’m tough…but fair.

Pick it up for a young ‘un in your life! The guide is chock-full of advice about money, etiquette, work, health, and all that other stuff that takes practice to figure out in your twenties. Get it on Amazon!

This kind of story, “How Diet Bloggers Stay Slim,” is probably my favorite kind of story to write, because it incorporates surprising, useful tips accessible to everyone, delivered with the heart and humor of standout “real women”: weight-loss bloggers I interviewed who had lost 100 or more pounds in some cases. If that’s not inspiring, I don’t know what is. So, run, don’t walk, to pick up the April 2013 issue of Health magazine, featuring the lovely Brooke Burke-Charvet on the cover.

Or you can read it online here or check out the PDF in the writing section of my site. I hope you enjoy it and that the ladies in the story inspire you as much as they did me!

If you asked me to name the nicest celebrity I’ve ever interviewed, Michael Strahan‘s name would be very high on the list.

Check out my interview with the Live with Kelly and Michael co-host for USA TODAY’s Best of New York Winter 2013 special issue. He dished on his fave New York City hotspots and the store he loves to pop into when he feels like giving his fiancée, Nicole Murphy, a special gift. I’ll give you a hint: It rhymes with Mouboutin. Lucky lady! And such a nice guy.

Find it on newsstands (if it’s still hanging around — I must learn to update this feed more often), or you can buy the issue here!

How does one talk to What Not to Wear co-host Stacy London? Wearing a meticulously chosen outfit, of course. I chatted with London, author of the new book The Truth About Style, after another stint as the blogger of the day on Anderson Live. (Yes, it’s a tough life, but someone has to live it.)

She was every bit as poised and intelligent as she is on TV — not to mention a saint for letting me sideline her for a couple of minutes on her way out the studio doors.

Read the resulting story for SheKnows.com here on my site or at  SK: “Stacy London’s Advice on Your Clothes — and Your Life.”

Who better than a professional matchmaker to speak to which trips are most likely to make a couple fall in love all over again? For the Winter 2013 issue of USA TODAY’s GoEscape magazine, I talked to Miss Advised‘s Amy Laurent, who shared her top nine picks for romantic vacations to set the mood.

It’s hard to choose my personal favorite from the list, but I’d have to name Sedona, Arizona, as one place I’d love to visit. Read the rest of the story here!
