It’s been an exciting week! First off, I plucked the new April 2011 issue of Seventeen magazine from my local newsstand on Monday and saw my name in print! (Side note: Girlhood dream = realized.) I’m quoted as an expert on page 157, in the super-cute “Have a Happy Breakup” story. Awesome!
Second, The Good Men Project Magazine just posted a story that I wrote about why couples stop having sex and how they can get their groove back. I spoke to so many knowledgeable sources for this story, so I want to give a big shoutout to Drs. Regan, McCarthy, and Acevedo for helping me understand a very complex topic.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

I’m so excited about the new website I’m editing, Sexcerpts, for SheKnows.com. It’s been up for a solid month and a half now, and so far I’ve covered lots of fun topics including dating statistics, studies about cheating, celebrity love news, sex tips, and a whole lot more.
My favorite recent posts have been my exclusive interview with Jennifer Saginor, daughter of Dr. Feelgood, about what it might be like to be one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends, and this cute story in which I ask top nail polish bloggers to pick their favorite sexy nail polish colors and names.
It’s only going to get better from here, so check out the site and leave a comment on your favorite stories!

I wrote a mini sidebar about non-corporate relief efforts in Haiti for the Men’s Journal website. These guys are doing great things. Read it here.

I’m in love with CND’s Shellac manicure, which they say lasts two weeks-plus — and they’re not kidding! Check out my test drive of the manicure for The Frisky here — the article tells all about the weird things I did while wearing the polish and how it held up.

That’s an emphatic “Yes!” from me! Check out my new story on the health benefits of a breakup for SheKnows.com here.
I’ve said this before, and I’ll absolutely say it again: After a breakup, you have ample time to get to know you again. That means more time for the things and people you love in life — which is a great gift. Savor it.
